GRP are central-strength members, round rods located in the center of fiber optic cables, that combine the high-performance properties of glass reinforcements with unique resin formulations to produce a strong and cost-efficient cable reinforcement. It is specially designed for use in all-dielectric cable applications that require superior dimensional stability. The long, splice-free lengths enhance productivity in cabling operations.
GRP Central Strength members serve a dual purpose. The tensile strength protects installation, and the rigidity helps prevent the cable from buckling during its life. The size ranges from 0.5 to 8.0 mm. We produce both UV-as well as thermal-cured GRP rods.
We are one of North America’s largest manufacturers of GRP rods, with world-class manufacturing facilities near the Texas border. Our Commitment to Quality and on time Delivery is unwavering, and we have established warehouses strategically located in Pharr, Texas, and Charleston, South Carolina. Notably, We have successfully supplied several million kilometers of GRP rods to some of the leading manufacturers of optical fiber cables in the United States.
