Water blocking GRP Rods are produced using e-glass fiber with a unique resin formulation and coated with a water swellable material. The hard coated surface makes it easy to handle, thus providing a smooth surface.

It is a strength member for OFC, which quickly swells when it comes in contact with water, thus eliminating the need for separate water swellable yarn. It has a distinctive coating that absorbs water, providing effective moisture protection to capture water ingress in the cable upon contact with moisture. It is available in various sizes, ranging from 0.5 mm to 3.0 mm.
